This is our stainless steel bar blade opener with your choice of engraving added to the handle: initials, a full name, or a short date such as a wedding or birthday. The engraving is cut into the metal rather than printed, so it won't fade, rub off or wash away with regular use, unlike a printed or stamped finish. It works exactly as well as our standard bar blade day to day, so it's a gift that actually gets used rather than put in a drawer.

Choose your text at checkout and double-check spelling and dates carefully, since engraving is done to order and can't be corrected once it's sent to production. Engraved orders take 2-5 working days longer than standard stock to allow for engraving, so build that into your timing for weddings or events with a fixed date. Because each one is made specifically to your order, personalised items can only be returned if they arrive faulty or damaged, not for a change of mind.

How long does personalisation take before an engraved opener ships?

Engraving adds 2-5 working days on top of normal dispatch, since each one is made to order once you submit your text rather than pulled from ready-made stock. If you need it by a specific date, such as a wedding, anniversary or birthday, it's well worth ordering with that lead time built in rather than leaving it until the last few days beforehand, particularly around busy gifting periods when production can take a little longer.

Can I return a personalised bottle opener if I change my mind?

No, personalised and engraved items can only be returned if they arrive faulty or damaged, because the engraving is specific to your order and can't realistically be resold to another customer. This is standard practice across the trade for any made-to-order personalised product, not something specific to us. Please do check your spelling, initials and dates carefully at checkout, as we can't amend the engraving once your order has been submitted for production.
