Electric wine bottle opener

Description

This electric opener removes a wine cork automatically: place it over the neck, press and hold the button, and the internal worm screw drives into the cork and lifts it clear in around ten seconds, with no twisting or pulling needed. A second button reverses the motor to release the cork from the mechanism afterwards. It runs on a rechargeable internal battery, good for a good number of bottles per charge, and comes with a USB charging cable and a separate foil cutter.

It's built for wine corks specifically, not crown caps, so it won't replace a bottle opener for beer, and it needs charging occasionally rather than working indefinitely like a manual tool. Where it earns its price is convenience: for anyone who finds a manual corkscrew hard on the hands or wrist, or who's opening several bottles for a dinner or event, it removes the effort entirely. For opening the odd bottle now and then, a manual waiter's friend or winged corkscrew will do the job just as well for less outlay.
