Description

This is a plastic caddy with six separate compartments, sized to hold cut garnish — lemon and lime wedges, cherries, olives, cocktail onions — and small condiments during cocktail service. It's shallow enough to sit inside an ice well or an ice bath, which keeps garnish cold and fresh for longer than leaving it out at room temperature, and the divided compartments stop flavours and juices mixing into each other.

Cocktail bars and busy restaurant bars use these to keep a full garnish station organised and quick to work from during a rush, and a home bartender who mixes more than the occasional drink will find the same six compartments useful for keeping a small range of garnishes to hand. It's a dry-and-cold-food tool rather than a general caddy — it's not meant for straws, napkins or bar tools, which is what the black bar caddy is for.

Questions about this product

Can it sit directly in ice?

Yes, it's shallow enough to rest inside an ice well or a tub of ice, which keeps cut garnish and condiments chilled throughout service rather than sitting out at room temperature. This matters most for fruit garnish, which softens and dries out faster once cut. Make sure the ice level doesn't rise above the rim of the compartments, or it'll flood the garnish rather than just cooling it.

How many garnishes does each compartment realistically hold?

Each of the six compartments comfortably holds a service's worth of one garnish type for a moderately busy bar u2014 for example, one for lemon wedges, one for lime, one for cherries and so on. For a very high-volume bar, you may find yourself topping up compartments mid-shift rather than filling once at the start, since it's sized for organisation rather than bulk storage.
