Description

This is a compartmented plastic storage box, the kind used throughout the trade for storing clean glasses between services, moving stock between a cellar and the bar, or running glasses through a glasswasher. The internal dividers keep each glass separated so they don't knock together in transit, which cuts down on chips and breakages compared with stacking glasses loose in a crate. The universal lid clips on top to keep dust out during storage and makes boxes safe to stack several high without the top layer of glasses being exposed.

It's built to the sizing used across most commercial glasswasher racks and cellar shelving, so it should sit comfortably alongside whatever storage system a pub or bar already runs. For home use, it's a practical way to store good glassware — wine glasses, flutes, whatever you don't use daily — without them getting dusty or chipped at the back of a cupboard. Can this box go through a commercial glasswasher, or is it just for storage?

It's built to the sizing used by standard commercial glasswasher racks, so glasses can be loaded into the dividers and run through a wash cycle in the box itself rather than being decanted into a separate rack. This saves handling time in a busy service, since the same box carries the glasses from collection through washing to storage without them being touched individually in between.

Do I need to buy the lid separately, or does it come with the box?

This listing includes both the divided storage box and a universal lid together. The lid is also sold on its own elsewhere in our range, which is useful if you already own compatible boxes and only need to replace or add lids, or if you're buying more boxes than lids because some are always in use uncovered during active service.
