Description

One free-flow pourer with a fitted collar — usually cork or rubber-lined — that grips the inside of a standard spirit bottle neck for a snug, fairly drip-free seal. It pours steadily rather than measuring anything, so it's about clean, controlled pouring, not portion control.

It's sold as a single pourer, which makes sense if you only want to fit one bottle, you're replacing a single lost or worn pourer from an existing set, or you'd rather try one before committing to a full set for your whole shelf. If you're fitting out several bottles at once, buying singles adds up quickly compared with our pack of six speed pourers, which works out cheaper per pourer. The collar seal is good but not airtight — it slows spillage and mess rather than eliminating it entirely, and it won't stop a bottle leaking if it's knocked over on its side.

Questions about this product

Is it cheaper to buy this or the six-pack?

Per pourer, the six-pack of speed pourers works out cheaper, so if you're fitting more than two or three bottles, that's the better buy. This single pourer makes sense for replacing one lost or damaged pourer from an existing set, trying the fit on your main bottle before buying more, or if you genuinely only ever pour from one bottle regularly.

Does the collar stop the bottle from leaking if it's knocked over?

No u2014 the collar creates a snug seal for upright pouring and cuts down on drips and mess during normal use, but it isn't watertight. If the bottle gets knocked on its side, liquid will still find its way out around the spout eventually. Treat it as a pouring aid rather than a spill-proof cap, and stand bottles upright when they're not actively in use.
