Description

Each bottle holds 8oz (about 240ml) of clear, flexible plastic, so you can see what's inside and how much is left without opening the cap. The wide neck makes filling from a jug or funnel easy, and the tapered tip gives a thin, controlled stream rather than a glug — useful for layering a drink or measuring syrup into a shaker by eye. They're dishwasher-safe on a top rack, though hand-washing extends the life of the tip, the part most likely to split with age or a very hot wash.

Bartenders use these for portion control and quick identification behind a busy bar — simple syrup, flavoured syrups, citrus juice, purées, even thinned sauces for garnish. Label each one as you fill it, since clear plastic gives no other clue what's inside once two or three bottles look alike; a strip of tape and a marker is enough. Wash and dry them between liquids, especially after anything acidic, and replace a bottle once the tip splits or clouds — a torn tip dribbles instead of pouring, which defeats the point.

Questions about this product

What can I put in squeeze bottles?

Anything pourable that you want portion control over: simple syrup and flavoured syrups, citrus and other juices, puru00e9es, honey or agave thinned slightly with water, and light sauces such as chilli oil for garnish. Avoid very thick, chunky mixtures that won't pass through the tip, and avoid hot liquids, which can soften or warp the plastic. For anything containing fresh juice, treat the bottle like any other food container u2014 refrigerate it, label the fill date, and don't leave it out on a warm bar top for hours at a time.

How do you clean squeeze bottles properly?

Rinse them immediately after use so syrup or puru00e9e doesn't dry and block the tip u2014 a blocked tip is the most common complaint with these bottles. Wash with hot soapy water, using a bottle brush to reach the base, and push a toothpick through the nozzle if it's gone sticky. Most are dishwasher-safe on a top rack, but the nozzle can trap water and stay damp, so unscrew it and let both parts air-dry fully before you screw the bottle back together and put it away.
