Description
The margarita glass has a distinctive shallow, saucer-like bowl on a stem, with a wide rim designed for a salt or sugar edge. That rim shape means the salt sits along the outside where your lips meet the glass with every sip, rather than dropping into the drink. The wide bowl also suits a frozen margarita, giving the slush room without it melting too fast against a small glass.
They're built for margaritas and similar citrus-forward cocktails — daiquiris, palomas and other drinks that work well with a salted or sugared rim also suit the shape. They're not the right glass for a spirit-forward drink served neat, or for a long drink with lots of ice and mixer, where a rocks glass or highball will do the job better. At 300ml each, there's enough room for a generous pour or a frozen version without overfilling. Sold as a pair, made from glass and dishwasher safe.
